Nothing wrong with taking the time! I just like to get out and get home to start our lives together. Plus the food options for gluten free… I’ll just eat my shoe!

This birth could be completely different, but if it is an easy, unmedicated, quick birth again with a healthy full term baby we will probably head home quickly once again. If we have something else, then we do what is right for that something else.

Last night’s meal (7/7) had unexpected results:

July 7, mealtime 7:50p
Macros: Carbs: 12g , Fat: 191g, Protein: 71g (chicken)

*Most of the carbs were from the broccoli and tomato salad (about 8g)

So I had lunch with friends today, and my lunchtime readings were
BG: 96, BK: 0.6
Lunch macros:
Carbs: 6g, Fat: 107g, Protein: 59g

8 hours later, before supper my readings were
BG: 94, BK: 0.4 (not what I wanted.)
Supper macros:
Carbs: 5g, Fat: 162g, Protein: 43g

I’m hoping tomorrow at supper, with no lunch, my numbers will be better.

ETA: I need to figure out how to eat and still keep my glucose low. I can inflate ketones with MCT oil, but I need to drop glucose

I want that too. I have a similar delayed rise and extended high bg as well. It’s very slow to drop even when fasting. I am thinking I need to be perfect with everything including sleep, stress, exercise, zero carbs, limited protein. I still have not found the perfect carbs or proteins… Hoping it’s just a matter of time…

Usually I am eating OMAD (one meal a day), and can get my glucose down to 70-85 by dinner time. I don’t have a CGM (continuous glucose monitor), as much as I’d like to have one. I do have a cheap meter, so I may do some extended testing- but I don’t like having to do all the pokes.

I hear ya on the pokes. I mix up which finger tips I use and make sure that you’re not going to deep. They usually have an adjustment for depth and I squeeze it out if needed. I have tried a few bg testers and my cheapest works as well as the others. Make sure the test strips aren’t old or exposed. I am fasting now and yesterday at hour 23 my bg was 113…good for me.
