I always need to keep my protein around 50-90 and fat higher than that to lose any weight. I’m a post menopausal girl though . Even when I’m fasting my blood ketones rarely go above 1. Have no idea why.
Blood Ketones Low. Just Kind Stuck?
The longest I’ve gone is about 26 hours. It comes naturally where I’m just not hungry and I don’t push it. I typically am not hungry in the morning so everyday about 16 hours no eating and 8 eating.
Hey there, Maybe not a problem at all. I’ve been on keto for two years now and most of the time it has been .3 to .4, and a very few times .5 ( maybe 3 times ) and once a fair bit higher. The weight still fell off over that period ( -66lbs ). But it reduced in steps, then stopped and then maybe after a month or two it reduced again. It has been suggested to me, many times now, that I dont have many ketones as I’m simply burning them off as I make them. I am fairly active, so that it probably right. Having high ketone levels is not what the end game is, its making ketones from body fat and then burning them for energy, hence causing the weight loss.
Agreed. I became more obsessed with it because I’m not losing any weight either.
