Yeah, except for the massive doses of caseomorphins!
Atkins induction foods only
I didn’t eat them at first, but then I hit maintenance and I decided I should live a little…wrong
I eliminated all high-oxalate foods from my diet recently and a lot of triggering foods are gone from my diet, so it was easy to say no again.
Nuts triggered snacking issues, mug cakes are pretty calorie-dense after my OMAD, sugar-free syrups are hard to control, something about casein in whey powders makes me ravenous…
Real food really is the best way to go
Check out the updated Atkins Diet book published in 2010 by key LCHF/keto researchers - Dr. Phinney, Dr. Westman, and Volek Ph.D. - New Atkins for a New You: The Ultimate Diet for Shedding Weight and Feeling Great.
It’s about eating delicious and healthy LCHF/keto food – a variety of protein, leafy greens and other vegetables, nuts, fruits, and some whole grains even - depending on the Phase (not during Induction ofc).
This book is not to be confused with the other recent one published by the Atkins Foods company!
Thank you David_StilleyFull Metal Keto. I found that very enlightening and very helpful to know. It explains so much.
@Polly1 Next time try using the @ symbol and a list of users pops up, if the name is there select it. If not put the first letter in, no spaces. Like I did with your name.
Thank you @David_Stilley for seeing what I was attempting but failing to achieve and for pointing me in the right direction.
I am keto as I basically do Atkins induction. For 2 years now. Good luck!
I don’t do “eat to satiety” either or Id be eating right now haha
Yeah that’s what worries me, Pete! Not sure I have an off switch anymore… Do you count calories as well as carbs?
That book looks like exactly what I need! Thanks so much for the recommendation
I do actually count calories just to give me a roof everyday… and net around 10 carbs…
