Every drug has benefits and detriments. Aspirin is one of those where there is some evidence it’s helpful for heart attacks, but there’s also increased chances of internal bleeding and possibly bleed-through strokes.

My cardiologist believes I take a baby aspirin every day, but I have not. There are too many studies indicating the small benefit in (less) coagulation is outweighed by bleeding.

I also have not had an MI.
