Am I Still in Keto?

Sometimes suggestions shared here will raise the hackles of some new folks. Our experiences, approaches, and personalities are as diverse as the new people. What I have learned is that it’s a two-way street. Some newbies consider it all and do not take it personally. What may sound reproachful to one person is seen as helpful to others

Even us regulars often debate with each other. And that is precisely why our forum works so well. Respect for individual perspectives. Have we lost some folks along the way? Of course. Sadly. And we try to learn from that.

I appreciate and respect your feedback. I hope you’ll stick around long enough to understand the good people and their positive intentions. We are a work in progress, like the human condition.

So I guess you don’t want us to tell you to keep calm and keto on, huh?:rofl:

It’s a shame that all this fruit of our experience hit you so negatively. I regret that greatly. Do you have any suggestions as to how we could have phrased it better? What would you have preferred to hear?

Because, really, all we can do is tell you the science as currently understood, and how our bodies reacted when we began eating this way. There is no way to tell you how your body is going to react, alas!

A related question would be how the other threads in the Newbies section strike you, especially the “Keto is this easy” and the “Advice from the oldtimers” threads. I found them particularly helpful, but I wonder how they appear to newcomers these days.
