That’s more than water weight. So sounds like are you are the right track.

The fat loss curve is a jiggly curve, 3 steps forward 1 step back, not a straight drop so hang in there. Your body is following a well orchetstratred change over, it knows what to do and at what pace.

Give it a few more weeks. I was told that (it was a bit sad, I was wishing for a magic go faster button). But sure enough it did all happen.

Yes that sounds very right.

Thanks Alex99, just weighed myself this morning and I’ve put on 2lbs… so frustrating.
My calories are apx 1200, 75% fat, 20% protein and 5%carbs (keeping under 20g last few days).
But I will keep going, it’s been 22 days now, the urine sticks are showing moderate this morning, and I still have that metallic taste in my mouth.

20g - that’s good (use grams not %)

Hmm are you sure 1200 is enough, not starving yourself? If you go too easy your body will think it’s starvation time and put the breaks on any weight loss.

(I secretly weigh myself everyday, same scale, same time, same place, after first bathroom trip … I record anything interesting but I DO NOT take it seriously. Must think weekly or monthly averages not daily blips)

Hang in there. Give it another week and then re-evaluate.

Can someone tell me the difference between being in Ketosis and fat adaption please.

I’ve been in Ketosis I believe for a couple of weeks now, started keto on 2nd Jan, I’m not losing weight. Im now 4 weeks total.

Is this really still going to happen?

I’m plugging on with under 20g carbs a day, recording everything, and apart from the first week when I lost 6lbs water weight, I’ve lost nothing since😫.

I know people have said look for other ways in which you feel better other than weight, but I don’t feel better either…

How much time should I give this thing?

Someone mentioned “fat adaption”, is this something different, am I waiting for something to happen in a weeks time?

Help please, I’m very discouraged this morning.

Ketosis is when your body is producing ketones.
Adaptation is when it actually knows what to do with them.
