You know you're a ketoer when

You know you’re a ketoer when. . . .

Yay, I did it again. A friend said she was coming over around dinner time. I told her I could offer coffee and tea, but if she wanted to eat please BYO.

When you just want a convenience-type snack but you look at the list of ingredients and see soy-this, rice-that, corn-something-or-other, and you know that you just can’t do it… so salami it is…!

Pork Rinds, Pork Cracklins …
Can usually find one of them amongst the 97 versions of garbage…

(Karen) #1038

If you’re still doing dairy, parm. Crisps are great!

(Vivi) #1040

Now you can use it to fry a lot of bacon :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Or use it for toasting up keto breads you cook in a muffin top pan.

(Roxanne) #1042

Any suggestions/recipes for muffin top
Pan bread @collaroygal?

These are great. Our toaster has a wide opening, it is so bagels could be toasted in them. If you have a very narrow slits in your toaster, make the biscuits thinner by not filling the tin as much. They toast up well in a toaster oven too. DH makes them with cheese and tiny ham cubes too, for a grab and go breakfast.

I also like making these almond buns in muffin tops, they are about right for sandwiches. I do cut back on the butter, they are too damp otherwise to me. YMMV

Cavemen made almond buns? #whoknew?

(Roxanne) #1045

Thanks so much. And as I make my keto eggnog for Xmas, I’ll have lots of egg whites to use up!

(Karen Masters) #1046

I loved this !!! Can I please share this in my Keto group???

(Carl Keller) #1047

@Karen_Masters I don’t see why not. Everything in the forum can be found via google search.

(The Wannabe Biker) #1048

Now you’ve done it. Everyone’s gonna freak out!

(Carl Keller) #1049

I will just tell them to Google “KCKO”. :stuck_out_tongue:

(#inforthelonghaul, KCKO, KCFO) #1050

If you are referring to the recipes I posted links to, I got them via Google to begin with, the biscuit one even has a video over on Youtube, I just don’t have it bookmarked.

When you have pork belly in the oven you’ve been curing in the fridge for 2 weeks and a chuck roast in the sous vide on the countertop!

(Sophie) #1052

When you cook a batch of keto chili in the crock pot and all you drool over is the fat floating on the top! (It was damn delicious, btw!)

(Michelle) #1053

You get really excited about sale on butter and cauliflower.

(The amazing autoimmune 🦄) #1054

I think you need some more butter :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
